The original order of the fonds has been maintained and arranged into five series which reflect the major activities of the creator over the years. Rimasto privo di strumenti di corredo e di numerazione unica, fino al suo trasferimento dagli Uffizi all'attuale sede dell'Archivio di stato di Firenze (1989), è stato in quell’occasione inventariato e dotato di numerazione unica di corda da Orsola Campanile.
