Vittorio Sacerdoti nasce a Modena il 9 ottobre 1920, figlio di Mario e Clara Castelfranco. Dopo l'8 settembre 1943 prende parte alla lotta di liberazione prestando servizio nella formazione "Anderlini", appartenente alla Divisione "Modena M", e nelle formazioni partigiane mioste del Partito d'Azione; catturato il 5 aprile del 1944, viene detenuto prima a Modena e poi a Mestre. Riuscito a fuggire dal treno diretto in Germania, raggiunge Lucca ed attende nella città toscana il termine del conflitto. Torna a Modena dopo la Liberazione di quest'ultima.
