n12:biography: Augusto Foà, nasce il 3 aprile 1894 a Napoli. Geometra, conosce Paolina Schein in Romania durante un viaggio di lavoro e la sposa nel 1924. Il 3 agosto 1925 nasce il primogenito Noè a Galati. Con la crisi del 1929 vengono in Italia. Nel 1934 nasce il secondogenito Vito a La Spezia. Augusto lavora come responsabile alla Falck di Pontremoli e grazie a questo ruolo non viene allontanato dal lavoro nel 1938, perché considerato "materiale strategico". Nel 1943 riesce a passare in Svizzera con la famiglia. Transitano da un campo a un altro, tra cui Ricoh Sciaffusa, e la famiglia viene più volte divisa. Rientrano in Italia nel 1943. Augusto muore nel 1994.
