He was arrested in Castelnuovo Garfagnana (Lucca). He was deported to the extermination camp of Auschwitz. He did not survive the Shoah. Israel Mendelsohn, figlio di Chaim Mendelsohn e Miriam Spangelet è nato in Polonia a Zabno il 24 ottobre 1904. Coniugato con Frimeta Mauer. Arrestato a Castelnuovo Garfagnana (Lucca).
