<p>La serie riflette l'attività di ricerca sui deportati dall'Italia condotta prima da Eloisa Ravenna nell'ambito delle indagini avviate dal Tribunale di Dortmund e Berlino nel 1965 e poi da Giuliana Donati, nel 1972, a seguito della richiesta del Comune di Carpi di realizzare un museo-monumento al deportato.</p> <p>I documenti, qui conservati e descritti, sono stati prodotti e raccolti dal CDEC, come verifica dell'elenco stilato dal colonnello Massimo Adolfo Vitale nel 1953 e come fonti storiche a cui attingere nel quadro delle ricerche per il processo contro Friedrich Bosshammer.</p>
